Before & After: The Elinor House, Mill Valley
Ready to move the family to their new home in Scott Valley, the owners of The Elinor House brought in our team to renovate the home to sell for top dollar.
Built in 1940, the 2,600 square-foot 4 bedroom and 3 bathroom home comes complete with iconic Mill Valley views, two expansive living rooms, a formal dining room, detached yoga studio, and is surrounded by lush gardens and outdoor areas that are just as beautiful the indoors on this expansive 8,000 square foot private corner lot. Maintaining the architectural integrity and the historical details of the home was crucial during recent contemporary renovations and the end result is a California contemporary home with a modern yet traditional aesthetic.
With $100,000 into painting, renovating the kitchen and bathrooms, landscaping, and staging we received an incredible pre-market offer through our networking groups that the owners were thrilled to accept.

The Master Bedroom
Objective: Create a bright, beautiful master bathroom
A stunning master suite with a bay window that takes in Mill Valley’s iconic views also took in a bit too much sun. We refinished sun-damaged hardwood woods, swapped single-pane for double pane windows and refreshed the space with our favorite white paint color.

The Master Bathroom
Objective: Modernize a dated master bathroom
Our biggest bathroom renovation to date, we resurfaced the master bathroom from head to toe to create a bright space that any home buyer would fall in love with. New Carrera marble countertops, Carrera subway shower and bath surround, bright white paint, matte black hardware and plumbing fixtures, and luxury sconces did the trick.

The Exterior
Objective: Create maximum curb appeal
The Elinor House exudes charm and has an amazing yard but curb appeal was lacking due to to dated paint colors and an overgrown yard. We contracted our landscaper to rework the yard to frame the home and chose a bold paint color that makes a statement. Paint color: Benjamin Moore Soot with Onyx trim.
