A farewell toast to 2020! The year that brought us home.
Hello, 2021! Goodbye 2020. It was a wild year, to say the least. It was hard for everyone in many different ways, but when we look back on the good things that came from a challenging year, one thing is very clear... We braved it together and we feel more resilient than ever. As we look forward to new beginnings and a fresh start, we look back 2020 with so much gratitude for everything our team accomplished.

Team Own Marin Ranked #1 in the county in 2020
$339M in Sales Volume
153 Total Homes Sold | 56 Off-Market Trades
Through a declared worldwide pandemic that completely shut down the real estate industry for one month, Team Own Marin still had the incredible honor of helping 153 clients and families buy or sell homes this year, totaling $339M in sales that grew our business 67% over 2019. Through shelter-in-place, we were able to find 56 homes for our clients off-market and adapted to new strategies to selling homes virtually. We represented 46 sellers and helped them command record breaking sales prices, and represented 107 buyers win homes amongst a strong surge of new competition.
Whitney
Hiked over 300 miles this year while discovering so many new Marin trails, and bought a new home for his growing family because biggest of all…he got engaged! “This year has taught me to really value the time that I have with the people I love and recognizing more than ever that we’re so lucky to live in this beautiful outdoor playground we call Marin.” - Whitney Potter
Barr
Broke a personal home sale record with his cherished clients, set new personal running records since his knee injury, conquered lots of home improvements and most importantly, learned not to take family or health for granted. “The main silver lining for me in 2020 was having the opportunity to productively work from home while being closer to my family.” - Barr Haney
Julia
Built her own outdoor office to work more productively from home with a toddler, mastered the perfect at-home cappuccino and learned to start her day with more intention. “2020 taught me to slow down, take time for myself and my family, and not to take our health and home for granted. I'm also so proud that through a pandemic I was still able to get my buyers into incredible homes and help my sellers move onto new chapters in their lives.” - Julia Fitzpatrick
Allie
Semi-successfully made 22 new recipes (and then bought a Peloton), re-designed 6 homes to sell, and helped her buyers win their dream homes all while growing a little bambino that’s joining us in February 2021! “2020 taught me balance: to slow down and separate work from personal life. I'm so proud to have helped my clients through a pandemic and found more time to cook, hike and enjoy life at home with my husband." - Allie Fornesi
Whitney B.
Survived homeschool with her two boys, learned to spend more time in the moment with her family, and had her best year in real estate! “2020 taught me patience, because let’s be real – home school is HARD.
